Resolution Criteria

This market will resolve based on which team (AFC Champion or NFC Champion) receives the opening kickoff at Super Bowl LIX, scheduled for February 2025. The market will resolve N/A if:

• Super Bowl LIX is canceled

• The coin toss is invalidated for any reason and not re-done

• The game is played without a coin toss

For resolution purposes:

• The team that receives the opening kickoff will be determined by both the coin toss result and the winning team's choice

• If the coin toss must be re-done for any reason, the final valid coin toss result and subsequent choice will be used for resolution

Considerations

• The outcome depends on both the random coin toss and the winning team's strategic decision

• The teams that will compete in Super Bowl LIX are not yet known and will be determined through the 2024-25 NFL playoffs

• Teams may choose to defer their choice to the second half, which would give the other team the option to receive the opening kickoff

• The coin toss winner has historically won 24 Super Bowls and lost 32, suggesting no correlation between winning the toss and winning the game
