In November 2022 the Great Salt Lake reached its lowest level in recorded history at 4,188.2 feet. The water level in the lake has been trending downward for decades. There are many concerns for Salt Lake City and Utah if the lake dries up completely like the aral sea did.
This question will be resolved positively if the USGS reports a water level lower than 4188 on 01/01/2030 at the saltair boat harbor
