Background

Krzysztof Stanowski, Polish sports journalist and founder of the YouTube channel ‘Kanał Zero’, has announced his candidacy for the 2025 presidential election. He has explicitly stated that he lacks the necessary experience to be president and does not want to win (his campaign slogans are Zero Competence and Zero Specifics). His primary motivation is to present the election campaign from the candidate's perspective, to ridicule his opponents and to present his election spots on public television.

Resolution Criteria

This market will resolve based on official election results from Poland's National Electoral Commission (Państwowa Komisja Wyborcza, https://wybory.gov.pl/prezydent2025/). The market will resolve as follows:

• "0-3.9%" if Stanowski receives 0% or more but less than 4% of the total valid votes in the first round

• "4-7.9%" if Stanowski receives 4% or more but less than 8% of the total valid votes in the first round

• "8% or more" if Stanowski receives 8% or more of the total valid votes in the first round

• "Stanowski will not run for election" if he either:

  • Withdraws his candidacy before the election

  • Fails to collect the required 100,000 signatures to appear on the ballot

  • Is disqualified from running for any reason

The market will resolve N/A if the 2025 presidential election is cancelled or postponed beyond 1 June 2025.

The election is scheduled for 18 May 2025 and the results should be announced within 2-3 days.
