Following Congresswoman Katie Porter’s defeat in the 2024 U.S. Senate primary election in California, there have been speculation about her running for elected office again in the 2026 elections. This market will resolve to the first elected office Katie Porter announces a run for, of which the election for said office must occur in the year 2026.
If Katie Porter does not announce a run for any office that will have an election in 2026, or if she does run for office but the election for that office does not occur in the year 2026, this market will resolve as None.
Market is currently set to end on November 3, 2026, the day of the 2026 midterm elections in California. However, once the date for candidate filing in the State of California for the 2026 election has been set, this market will instead be moved to resolve on that date.
