The Type 32 frigate is a proposed class of warship that is currently under development by the British Royal Navy. It is intended to be a versatile and adaptable platform capable of performing a wide range of missions. The Type 32 frigate is expected to incorporate advanced technologies and features, including increased automation, improved stealth capabilities, and the ability to carry unmanned vehicles. It will also be designed to operate in a variety of environments, including littoral and blue-water operations. It may be a new design, or heavily based on the Type 31. The Type 32 frigate should enter service in the mid-2030s, but there has been substantial concern that the class will eventually be cancelled for cost reasons. There will be five ships in the class.
