In the US, states perform executions in small death studios; and then, we have 2-3 journalistic witnesses + family members that describe the execution in graphic detail -- reports of which fill the media for 1-2 weeks (b/c if it bleeds it leads). Similarly, we are not allowed to view real-time broadcast of SCOTUS public sessions.
