The FAA has announced a plan to fine SpaceX (https://www.faa.gov/newsroom/faa-proposes-633009-civil-penalties-against-spacex) for violations of its launch licenses. SpaceX - mostly in the person of Elon Musk - has (metaphorically) told the FAA where to stick it.
Will any new fines (or intention to levy fines) against SpaceX be announced by a US government agency or court before the end of 2024? They could be by the FAA or any other federal agency, and could be in response to past actions or future ones. The existing $633,009 fine would not count, nor would a change in the amount without adding new individual fines, but an additional specific fine related to the same events would count. This market only concerns the federal government; fines announced by state or local governments will not count.
The market closes at midnight, Eastern time in the USA.
