If I forgot to add something put it in the comments. I’m actually not positive that alts are getting banned but I thought I saw something about that.
I’m surprised not to see liquidity subsidies mentioned.
Not only because it’s cool for more active markets to have more liquidity but because it makes markets generally positive sum in aggregate meaning that more active traders could generally make Mana. Now markets are going to be negative sum in aggregate - for everything you win someone else has to lose and then you have to pay fees on top.
@SimonGrayson Another nice thing about per trader liquidity subsidies is it makes big markets more “resistant” to large swings in price.
@Arky I think that can be fixed by users providing liquidity via limit orders, but I think there needs to be functionality that enables this more easily without writing bots. I’d like to add liquidity to the AMM around my target % in exchange for spreads and fees.
@SimonGrayson markets generally being positive sum sounds like a free lunch to me (in the sense of "there ain't no such thing as a free lunch"), especially since it seems you weren't considering the value of the probability estimates here.
