So he isn't any ordinary freshman it turns out, but rather the son of Peter Baker, NYTimes chief White House correspondent, and New Yorker columnist Susan B Glasser. And during his freshman year at Stanford he took down the president of the university. Incredible.

Warner Bros and producer Amy Pascal have emerged victorious in a spirited book-rights auction for How to Rule the World: Yacht Parties, Culture Wars and the Downfall of a President at Stanford. Written by Theo Baker ... published by Penguin Press/Penguin Random House.

Sony, Amazon, and A24 were also in the hunt for the book. CAA brokered the deal.

Baker’s book will be titled “How to Rule the World: Yacht Parties, Culture Wars and the Downfall of a President at Stanford,” according to Deadline. This is a huge an incredible story, but also basically interesting to meta-science nerds. Even in the boston area, you can’t fill many movie theaters with us.

Strongest counter argument is that I’ve heard studios buy options/rights much more often than you think.
