Currently, Manifold shows the value of investments as their expected value assuming the probability is correct. However, this does not equal the sell value, because of price slippage. (Some people have complained about the phantom profits Manifold displays as a result.)
To resolve YES, Manifold must somewhat prominently display the sell value, in addition to or instead of the expected value, of each investment somewhere on the portfolio page (without having to click Sell and input the number of shares, like now), by end of 2024. It'd also be cool to see total sell value!
General policy for my markets: In the rare event of a conflict between my resolution criteria and the agreed-upon common-sense spirit of the market, I may resolve it according to the market's spirit or N/A, probably after discussion.
@Eliza ...but I don't know how to trade. I want it to happen, but if I bet Yes, I'm just opening myself up to being trolled by the devs releasing it 1 minute after the market closes. If I bet No, they might take my No order all the way to the bank when making the feature, but then I lose mana.
@Eliza Think of it like this: if you bet it down and they make bank off of making the feature, you might lose mana, sure, but you'll gain a really useful feature ๐
