Possible examples include Mormons running ancestor simulations in order to convert the dead, or Catholics investigating miracles through simulations that incidentally contain conscious entities. For resolution purposes the entities only have to be plausibly conscious by one leading materialist theory and the actual opinion of the religious organizations or public on the ontological or phenomenological status of these entities is irrelevant.
