The proposal, introduced by Supervisors Lindsey Horvath and Janice Hahn, would expand the Board from five to nine members following the 2030 census. Seven Supervisors would be elected in 2032, with two serving initial two-year terms, and full implementation by 2034.

This market resolves YES if a general vote in Los Angeles County in which all ballots are cast in 2024 succeeds, which commits the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to grow to a number greater than its current 5 members. The text lists some specific years, but if those years change in the passed law this still resolves YES (though it must list SOME specific date for implementation).

I'm happy to answer questions and update the resolution criteria if folks have suggestions or clarifications. I will not participate in this market.
