When I was seven, I thought to myself, “I’d like to live for 100 more years. Then I’ll die at 107.”
This market resolves YES if I make it to 107 years old.
Context: I’m 39, male, upper middle class. My great grandmother made it to her late 90’s, and all my grandparents made it to their 90’s, but nobody cracked 100. Both parents alive and healthy and in their 70’s. I’m Norwegian on my mother’s side and Cajun/Anglo-American on my dad’s. Healthy weight and don’t eat much meat, nor do I smoke. I have Narcolepsy and Tourette’s which for some reason jacks up my life insurance premiums but those don’t really affect my overall health. I exercise some but should do more.
@BTE I don't have sleep attacks; specifically I have Narcolepsy with cataplexy, which means, that under severe stress I lose muscle tone (similar to a sleep attack, except I'm fully conscious). Never had it happen in a remotely dangerous situation.
@LarsDoucet Very interesting. My dad has the kind of narcolepsy where he can literally fall asleep anywhere/anytime and never look uncomfortable.
@PaintspotInfez There would be an obituary in my local paper, also word would get out amongst all my friends which includes manifold staff
@LarsDoucet Could also put a dead man’s switch where if I don’t reply within a year of a proof of life request you can presume me dead
