Officials from the city of San Francisco sued the Port of Oakland over the name change, which the Port of Oakland approved in May 2024.

This market will resolve to YES if the Oakland airport is legally permitted to use the name "San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport" before the close date (for example, because the injunction is lifted, or the Port of Oakland prevails in the lawsuit).

If the City and County of San Francisco prevails in the lawsuit, or the injunction is still in place on 2025-05-20, this market will resolve to NO.

If the parties in the lawsuit reach a settlement and the Oakland airport chooses to use a name other than "San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport", then this market will resolve to NO before the question close date.

If there are other cases that happen, I will attempt to resolve best to the intent of the question.
