The last iPhone mini (13) was released in Sept 2021 and Apple chose not to release a 14 mini. Signs seem to indicate that even though it had a niche following it has been discontinued due to low sales... but could it return over the next 5 years?
Needs more clarification.
The current most likely path is that the new iPhone SE (4) will have a smaller size than the current 6.1“ models. Will this make the question resolve to “yes“? Or does it have to specifically be named “iPhone Mini“?
(I.e. it's possible that they'd just reuse the panel from the Mini for a new SE without calling it Mini.)
@JonathanMannhart And if they don't reuse that 5.4“ panel, they might choose something in between both sizes. It's blurry what constitues as a Mini!
(I'd probably go with a screen size cutoff as the resolution criteria here. E.g. “smaller than 6.1 inches“ or “smaller than 5.8 inches“.)
@JonathanMannhart for clarity, and for the purposes of this market the phone needs to be called the 'iPhone mini' for this to resolve TRUE, a smaller iPhone SE will not count.
