Manchester City have just won the league for an unprecedented fourth time.

Since the league was founded in 1888, no team has ever won four in a row. The first team to win two in a row was Preston North End in the 1880s and the first team to win three in a row was Huddersfield Town in the 1920s.

Will City stop at four or will they keep extending their streak? How many titles in a row will they have won by the time someone else takes the crown?

Resolution notes:

• If Manchester City are stripped of any titles after the trophy has been awarded, that will not retroactively change the results for the purpose of this market. If they are stripped of the 2022/23 title and win next season, that will still count as their 5th in a row.

• If Manchester City do not take part in the Premier League for any reason (eg. they are expelled from the league or they choose not to take part as they join a European superleague), their streak will be considered to have ended.

• If the league changes name or there is some sort of breakaway, this market will refer to the main domestic league that the top English teams are playing in.

• If you think that they will win more than 8 titles in a row, you can bet on "other". If that is a popular enough option, I will split further years out from that option and you will receive an equal number of shares in every new option.
