If the Octoverse report is for some reason unavailable, an alternative source will be used to resolve this question.
@nettika It'll get type annotations, sure, but all that means is that you won't have to strip the types from your code anymore. You'll still need to pick a type checker, and I'd be very surprised if an alternative overtook Typescript in that role anytime soon.

@Solecontro Thanks. Just wanted to clarify that the market is not only about overtaking JavaScript. Another question: is this any year before 2030, or just the 2030 report? If typescript were to be number 1 next year, I would probably say it had become most popular “by 2030”.
