This question resolves YES if a new official Pokémon game (or game pair) that primarily takes place in the Unova region is announced by The Pokémon Company or its affiliates by EOY 2024. This question will resolve YES even if the game takes place in a geographic area that is coextensive with all or most of Unova, even if it has a different name (like Hisui for Sinnoh).
The Indigo Disk takes place at Blueberry Academy, which is in the Unova region. At this point I don't think it's known how much of the Unova region will be accessible through the game, and this is a DLC for the existing games Scarlet and Violet. So should it count as a yes for this question?
My gut instinct is "no;" remakes usually aren't that close together. IIRC it was six years between FRLG and HGSS, five between HGSS and ORAS, and seven between ORAS and BDSP. I expect Gen 5 remakes to arrive during Gen 10 on the Switch 2.
Then again, Gamefreak has gotten less predictable recently, and I've heard that the DLC has some hints at Unova-related-stuff, so I'm not gonna put very much mana on NO.
