The jhanas (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhyana_in_Buddhism#The_jh%C4%81na/dhyana-stages) are a set of eight altered mental states which, according to the Buddhist tradition, can be achieved through deep meditation.
Recently there has been a surge of interest in meditation, mostly driven by companies such as Jhourney (https://www.jhourney.io/), which promise that, by using their techniques, one can achieve the jhanas in a small fraction of the time traditionally required.
More traditional meditation teachers consider that the jhanas can and should take years to achieve and some have been critical of the approach of "meditation tech" companies such as Jhourney, claiming that achieving the jhanas too fast can be detrimental to one's meditation progress and even harmful to the student.
This market resolves YES if, until the end of 2024, there is a credible report by someone who has practiced the kinds of "fast jhanas" meditation promoted by Jhourney and other related institutions claiming that they were actively harmed by the practice.
The person making the report should be able to prove they have followed the protocols promoted by an institution openly promoting "fast jhanas" meditation, either by having attended a retreat or having been in contact with the institution.
