It is widely believed that in the as-yet incomplete fantasy series "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin, Jon Snow is actually the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. Many fans have speculated that Jon will have a true (Targaryen) name, which will be revealed in a future book. I've tried to include the main theories, but anyone can add another name.
This Reddit post argues that his true name is Aemon: https://old.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/msz3gg/spoilers_extended_jon_snows_real_name/
I will not resolve the market on the basis of rumours, leaks, or ambiguous comments by Martin. If it seems likely that the remaining books will never come out (even posthumously), then an announcement as to what her true identity would have been (e.g. based on Martin's notes) is sufficient to resolve this. If even that does not happen, this market will resolve N/A.
Is there reason to think it's particularly unlikely that the same decision will be made as in the TV show? i.e. Aegon
@TheAllMemeingEye There’s another character called Aegon who isn’t in the show, and Rhaegar already has a son called Aegon. But I’ve added it as an option.
