Former President Donald Trump faced four new federal charges related to his actions surrounding the events of January 6, 2021. These charges were brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith as part of an investigation into Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.

The four charges are:

Conspiracy to Defraud the United States: This charge alleges that Trump conspired to obstruct the lawful function of the U.S. government by attempting to overturn the election results.

Conspiracy to Obstruct an Official Proceeding: This charge is based on Trump’s alleged efforts to disrupt the certification of the Electoral College vote on January 6, 2021, by Congress.

Obstruction of and Attempt to Obstruct an Official Proceeding: This charge specifically relates to Trump’s actions to interfere with the certification process of the 2020 presidential election.

Conspiracy Against Rights: This charge is linked to Trump’s alleged efforts to deprive Americans of their right to have their votes counted and to have a free and fair election.

These charges reflect the federal government’s focus on Trump’s role in the broader scheme to overturn the 2020 election, culminating in the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

The option that represents the result of this indictment, or possible superseding indictments, containing the charges in question, by January 1st 2031, will resolve YES and all others will resolve NO. If no conviction occurs by then, “Trump isn’t convicted-“ resolves YES, all others NO.

Will resolve earlier if a verdict is found for all four charges, or the whole case is dismissed with prejudice, or prosecutors drop all four charges, etc. I won’t trade in this market.
