If not an official Pokemon character or symbol, a generalized version of a 'pocket monster' anime/manga would suffice.

Do you mean (A) that "an official Pokémon emoji will exist within the set of actual official Unicode emojis", or do you mean (B) that "The Pokémon Company will release a (non-Unicode) emoji, or a set of them"?
@PaintspotInfez unicode approves an emoji that is directly related to pokemon - either a pokeball, symbol, pikachu, another character, or another related logo
@strutheo ill also count if the emoji is generalized but still clearly is for a 'pocket monster' type of game or inspired anime/manga
Oh, then not a chance in ̶h̶e̶l̶l̶ the Distortion World, lol.
The "I'll also count if ..." addendum complicates my NO bet slightly, but I still think it's unlikely that Unicode would so openly add something that's so specific to a copyrighted media franchise
