My distribution was apparently 704 702=>20 which ties the optimistic prediction but not in the way I expected

Congrats! I guess barely hitting the green cutoff is not great for someone in the TST group, but it's a relief. Good luck at MOP! I'm sure you will do better at next year's USAMO.
