resolves YES:

  • if the international name in the english wikipedia article of the country remains changed for more than one week and this change is the result of a government/legislative decision of said country.

  • if a successor country with a different name takes over all international contracts of its predecessor (example: Russia as successor of the Soviet Union)

resolves NO:

  • all non-resolved options by end of 2050.

A country that ceases to exist is resolved as N/A

will not be resolved:

  • if only the government form part of the name changes (example: Czechia instead of Czech Republic)

  • if only the spelling or language of the name is change (example: Türkiye instead of Turkey)

  • if only the domnestic name changes, but not the international one (expample: India is already called Bharat domestically, but so far not internationally)

I don't count a language change of the name, see description.

Thailand changed its name to Thailand from Siam in 24 June 1939 under a period of modernization. Very unlikely to change the name again unless drastic changes in the political system take place IMO
