The Los Angeles Dodgers have had a busy offseason thus far, committing over $1b in contracts to Japanese players Yoshinibu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani.
This question explores the possible outcomes for the Dodgers this season. The offseason signings are setting a bar higher than already established for a team that has consistently been one of, if not the, highest payrolls among MLB teams for the past decade.
Resolves in accordance with the exit of the LA Dodgers from World Series contention if the Dodgers do not win the last game of the year.
@JTBooth That’s covered in the “#1 or #2 seed in postseason, loses NL division series.” That selection assumes that as #1 or #2 seed, they have won the NL West division title.
No worries. I’m glad you posted here, because I probably would have otherwise missed a timely resolution to the missing the postseason response, which should resolve in the next few days. The MLB website has them at <0.1% to miss the playoffs, but with the score of today’s game, and Ohtani getting to 50/50, I doubt they will miss.
