At the 2020 Olympics, the US women's artistic gymnastics team won 6 total medals but only 2 were gold (Sunisa Lee in the All-Around and Jade Carey on the Floor Exercise). Both athletes are returning to the Olympics for Team USA and hoping to defend their titles, plus Simone Biles (the gymnastics GOAT) is back and as strong as ever. How many gold medals will Team USA win at the 2024 Paris Olympics?

Note there are six artistic gymnastics events for women:

  • Team all-around

  • Individual all-around

  • Vault

  • Uneven bars

  • Balance beam

  • Floor exercise

Therefore the maximum number of gold medals that any single country can win is 6 (the team event counts as a single medal).

@Ziddletwix i'm only editing this answer now because it already cannot resolve YES (US already has 3 gold medals). this was originally just "1", but the original market then didn't have an option for "0". if that had somehow come up, then i might have had to N/A, but luckily it quickly didn't matter. in any case, i'm making this purely visual/nonfunctional edit just because it bothers me to see a market that doesn't cover all potential options.
