Daryl Morey (born September 14, 1972) is an American basketball executive who is the president of basketball operations of the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). His basketball philosophy, heavily reliant on analytics, favors three-point field goals and layups over mid-range jumpers. This style has been dubbed "Moreyball", as a nod towards Michael Lewis's Moneyball
Previously, he was general manager for the Houston Rockets from 2007 to 2020, during which time the team posted the second-most wins in the NBA but did not win an NBA title.
This market seems to predict whether Daryl Morey's influential but occasionally controversial tactics will yield a tangible result in the long run.
It will resolve YES if at any point before the end of the year 2035, Daryl Morey wins an NBA title as an active team executive. This would entail the team under his basketball operations leadership winning the NBA Finals and Morey being part of the executive team at the time of the victory. The outcome will be based on publicly available records and acknowledgments from the NBA.
It will resolve NO otherwise or based on my best judgement e.g in force majeure events .
