does "Bollywood" here include all Indian cinema (e.g. Tollywood) or specifically only Bollywood? worth noting that RRR (2022) was a Telugu-language film

@pyrylium did rrr count as bollywood? are some of tollywood also counting as bollywood? i dont have enough expertise here

@strutheo Bollywood is the regional film industry of Mumbai, largely Hindi-language. It was historically the biggest cinema hub in India but now basically every Indian state has their own regional "-ollywood" and some of them are approaching or surpassing Bollywood in revenue and cultural clout. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Hollywood-inspired_nicknames

A pedant (or, y'know, a native Indian) would correctly point out that RRR is not a Bollywood film. Linguistic nationalism is an incredibly powerful political force in modern India and these distinctions are very important to some people.

@pyrylium ok maybe ill just say indian languge film? what is a unifying element between them ? do they all feature similar levels of action / music / dance / etc?

@strutheo you're the market creator but it seems to me like the intent is "native Indian cinema" moreso than any particular linguistic or stylistic oeuvre. "Indian-language film" is pretty equivalent (not that it matters -- I could point out that English is technically a national language of India).

@pyrylium ok ty for pointing it all out to me, ill make it a bit clearer
