Efforts are being made to obtain clemency.
Reading the Free Ross website, it feels like they don’t even really know what the argument is? Half it is like “he was just doing based Libertarian stuff that should be legal anyways” but then there’s a long paragraph about how he’s been rehabilitated?
Is he wrong and sorry or should Silk Road be made retroactively legal?
@CraigTalbert "he was just doing based Libertarian stuff that should be legal anyways" is totally a sufficient argument
@MilfordHammerschmidt Ross Ulbricht is the Libertarian Mumia Abu-Jamal.
That was always a weird superposition of “Mumia totally didn’t kill that guy, but if he did we should free him anyway.”

Did he? I know he was vaguely accused of that in passing, but I don't know of any good evidence to support it. His sentence was supposed to be entirely for nonviolent crimes.
