@traders @deagol has raised the good point that Apple releases these data annually (in Sept) while Alphabet releases these data quarterly. To compare Apples : Apples (pun intended), we’ll compare Sept ‘24 data to Sept ‘24 data.

@deagol hmmmm. we may need to compare the EoY Google vs. the EoY (Sept) Apple one. I think Apple’s Q3 ‘23 data would be more relevant than the Q3 ‘24 data. This question was a bit unclear on this

Agreed for the other market, for this one you’ll compare Apple’s Sep 2024 to Alphabet’s Dec 2024 (likely released in late Jan 2025)?

Edit: or maybe just compare both for Sep 2024, which should be updated by early Nov.

I believe the Apple headcount is only reported on the Fiscal Year (September) reports (10-K filings) which seems to be the source of the referenced links. I doubt we’ll get a number for the end of the calendar year.
