Regarding his current charges and the outcome of his arrest.

The "exploitation purposes" prerequisite needs to (more or less) be ruled to relate to the sex work that the trafficked persons performed or were intended to perform.

the Romanian charges have not been dropped and he is still due to stand trial - this is a lifted travel restriction, nothing more, at this point

@shankypanky I've started a market about whether or not he'll return:

sorry that was rude of me

@memestiny Wake up from your slumber, you need to resolve to NO.

I'm cooked bruh

@CourierSix it's still possible he will be convicted in the UK, although the Iggy theory seems to offer a plausible narrative freeing Tate from any Trafficking charges. Seems very unlikely he will be jailed or prosecuted by Romania though.

@dgga wait so is this market just if he gets found guilty of human/sex trafficking anywhere?

@CourierSix afaik both the Romanian and the UK charges were filed by the time this market was created so they should apply as per the matket description:

Regarding his current charges and the outcome of his arrest.

I am not certain though, and cba to look into it

@dgga inshallah brother 🙏🏿 all hope is not lost

Andrew Tate is facing two main sets of charges:

  1. Romanian Case – Charges include:

    • Human trafficking

    • Rape

    • Forming an organized criminal group to exploit women

Prosecutors allege that Tate and his brother, Tristan, coerced women into working in their webcam business under false pretenses. Some women have claimed they were manipulated into relationships and then forced into producing adult content.

  2. UK Case – Charges include:

    • Sexual aggression (between 2012 and 2015)

    • Rape

    • Human trafficking

The UK issued a European Arrest Warrant for the Tates, but they can only be extradited after legal proceedings in Romania are completed.

Additionally, Romanian authorities have investigated them for money laundering and trafficking of minors, though these accusations are still being processed.

For clarity which charges are now being waited on for this to resolve?

How does this resolve as NO? or this a forever market essentially?

What if he is found guilty but then is proven innocent later?

@Bebop "Regarding his current charges and the outcome of his arrest."

I think if he was found not guilty or guilty of current charges the market should be closed.

If the charges are withdrawn it should probably be a No, but I can see an argument for NA.

@StephenBuggy "found guilty" is explicit. If charges are withdrawn then he was not found guilty, the bet doesn't stipulate specifically being found guilty through the course of a trial

While I think Tate is a creep, whatever this is looks political. But Trump already won, so he'll likely walk away. If I'm wrong, then it's because I didn't care enough to actually check any of the details.

@AlexanderKlos He is not in the United States

@SaiVazquez please don't talk about details like this! 😃

@SaiVazquez Neither was Julian Assange, smarty pants. Tate (somehow) became a political figure online who was a threat to some US interests, and countries allied to the US will absolutely drag people through the mud on their behalf.

The statement says "regarding his current charges" so I would assume this won't be open for another 5 years?

Is there suddenly some hint that there might have been non-human (sex) trafficking?

bought Ṁ200 YES

By the wording of this market I'm assuming we're looking at both the Romanian case and the possible extradition to the UK, correct?

bought Ṁ500 YES

@dgga unable to see that page
