now that trump did that whole speech at bitcoin2024 does this resolve YES? he seemed to be using his support of bitcoin as a talking point to gain voters during that speech.
or what else needs to happen now for a YES resolution? thanks! @nick
@mistersplice Mention markets are a common way that betting markets handle this. Will word "x" be mentioned during a specific debate / event (you could do all debates - but there are going to be a lot of them and it will take forever to resolve). Then you have the choice of accepting all mentions of a word (like "Trump") or requiring that it be referring to a person (eg. Donald Trump).
(There was a recent Polymarket on whether DeSantis would "mention Trump" in his Twitter space that resolved No because he said the verb "to trump" and that was excluded by the rules).
@mistersplice Does it need to be brought up during a formal presidential debate, or just someone who ends up sharing the stage?
Does it need to be an official part of their platform, something that they say repeatedly, or just part of an answer to a question at any point?
@MatthewRitter I’m mainly wondering if it will be an issue that candidates believe will influence voters
@mistersplice < 1% odds. Most of which is if there is a huge scandal or ponzi involving crypto. (I own bitcoin, but I'm a realist and this is typical crypto hype that I've seen a lot of since 2011 as I've been following it closely for 12 years).
@AaronKreider And if anyone wants to take a bet at > 10% odds with real money, I'd be happy to set it up on Polymarket.
