Last year, IAEA inspectors reported discovering uranium particles enriched to 83.7% in samples from Iran. This year, taking advantage of the uncertainty surrounding the US elections and ongoing global crises, Iran may aim for a purity level beyond 90%, considered weapons-grade. The resolution will be based on media reports I can find by searching the BBC website in January 2025.
Think it's likely there will not be media reports about them reaching that threshold when they do. Iran is likely to keep it quiet to give themselves time to make more fissile material / bombs.
Doing weapons tests improves the quality of subsequent nuclear warheads, but revealing this capability makes it significantly more likely that there will be offensive action from a foreign power before the window to intervene closes.
